About Us
The “church” is people. We are a group of imperfect people. But we are passionate about following Jesus Christ!
Our Mission is to glorify God and exalt Jesus Christ.
Our Purpose is to be a group of believers who are reaching wider in our love for others and growing deeper in our love for Jesus.
Timber Lake Christian Church is an undenominational Christian church. We simply follow Jesus Christ. We worship, pray and praise together on a weekly basis. Together, we study the Bible, God’s Word to us, and seek to apply what He says to the way we live.
Sunday Mornings
We strive to create a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. We think you’ll feel comfortable here no matter what you’re wearing or how crazy your morning has been! Here are some common elements of Sunday services:
MUSIC—Led by the praise team and band, we invite you to follow along with the projected lyrics as we all lift our voices to the Lord.
MESSAGE—One of our preaching team members speaks to us about God’s Word. We try to stay relevant by applying Bible truths to everyday life.
NEED PRAYER?—Following the message, you are invited to talk or pray in the corner of the auditorium by the cross. You’re encouraged to come forward for any reason, including if you want to talk about becoming a Christian or becoming a member of TLCC.
COMMUNION—We finish Sunday services by remembering what Jesus did for us at the cross and celebrating the hope we have in Christ. All Christians are invited to participate by taking the bread and juice, representing Christ’s body and blood.
OFFERING—The ministry going on at TLCC is completely funded by voluntary giving by church attendees. We collect an offering on Sundays, and gifts can also be made at tlcc.church/donate or by texting any amount to 660-205-0999.
Beliefs
The best way to figure out about TLCC’s core beliefs is to attend the next Welcome Lunch. This 2-hour luncheon happens every couple of months on the 2nd Sunday of the month. Here is a short summary of our beliefs:
We believe in a creator God who is real and who is above all things. We believe Jesus is the Christ, the son of the living God. He was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life. He died for our sins, was buried, rose from the dead and is coming again. The sacrifice of Christ shows us His incredible love for us that we are now to spread to all the world. We believe in the Holy Spirit who is active in the world and in our lives today. We believe the bible is the inspired word of God, absolute in its authority and complete in its revelation. We are “Christians only” but not the only Christians. We work together as the body of Christ to bring glory to God and encourage each other in our faith.
